Set dressing Die Boekklub 2

As the  props standby I got to dress and redress many
of the scenes in Boekklub 2.

The local "toordokter" or magic lady had some great elements to play with.
I read up on Tarot cards and had their possible meanings match what she's seeing. I also put some colour theory to use in the dressing off bottles, plants and crystals
Sorting out someone else's mess can never be easy. Here our character is trying to sort out and reorganise someone's financial documents.
He was almost drowning in all of it!

For this particular location, I did the entire set dressing.

From cutting out articles to faking sheep numbers and calendar rainfall sheets, this had everything a farmer would have.

A lot of the inspiration came from growing up on farms myself. The resemblance to my grandfather's office is quite extrodinary actually!
With little to no prep time for this set, I feel it came out rather great.

I had to call up my old Afrikaans teacher for some lesson plans for the blackboards though.
The study shifts from chaotic research to a more ordered research.
Tom's notebook spanned over 10 episodes and although the details were never seen,
the writing and pictures made for a convincing research partner.
